Avoca is a small town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. The population is about 500 including the villages of Fitzroy Falls and Myra Vale. Situated 700 m above sea level, Avoca is just 10-15 mins. drive from bigger towns such as Bowral and Moss Vale and around 25 mins. drive to Mittagong. The village includes a public school, with around 30 students, an events hall (Avoca Hall) and a fire station base, although it is situated further away from the main centre of the village. Avoca is situated on the main Sheepwash Road.
